獨協学園は、明治のはじめドイツ文化を中心とする西欧文化 の粋を摂取して、わが国文教の興隆をはかる目的で設立され た獨逸學協会（明治14年・1881年）にその端を発していま す。当時の文明開化の先端を拓こうとしたこの協会が、人材 を養成するために設けた学校が獨逸學協会學校（明治16年・ 1883年）でありました。 The h i s t o r y o f Dok k y o Ga k u en (Dok k y o Gr ou p o f Academic Institutions) started with the birth of the Doitsugaku Kyokai (German Association), which was founded in 1881 to promote Western and, in particular, German studies in Japan. Teiyu Amano became the f irst president of Dokkyo University. 昭和55年 1980 昭和49年 1974 昭和48年 1973 昭和42年 1967 獨協学園理事長に関湊 就任 M i n a t o S e k i b e c a m e chancellor. 獨協医科大学を栃木県 壬生町に開学 Dokkyo Medical University wa s f ounded i n Mi bumachi. 獨協埼玉高等学校を埼 玉県越谷市に開校 Dokkyo Sa i tama Senior High School was founded in Koshigaya-shi. 獨協医科大学附属高等 看護学院（現在の「附属 看護専門学校」）開校 「獨協医科大学病院」開 院 Nursing School Af f iliated to Dokkyo Medical University was founded.
